Failing to plan is like planning to fail

If you need to grow your business you need a simple plan, it doesn't need to be complex and you don't need special business planning tools or software. Just 3 simple steps:

1. DEFINE YOUR GOAL

This is a statement of what you want to achieve in an immediately measurable way. e.g "We need 1 new customer a week"


2. SPECIFIC ACTION STEPS

State what you're actual going to do to make it happen. e.g. " Make two followup calls a day"


3. CALENDAR DATES

A plan without a time frame is a list of ideas NOT a plan. e.g. Always have a start and end date for each of 1&2 above.



So business planning is as simple as

1, 2, 3.
